Meet the Owner

Hi there!

My name is Amanda, and welcome to The Foundry! I have been in practice since graduating with my Master’s in Counseling, with a specialty in Sport and Health Psychology in 2017.

I tripped and fell into the mental health world after dedicating my undergrad to studying Exercise Science. I love all things health and wellness, and have found a new passion in integrating it into my practice in order to make mental health feel more tangible!

I have a hard time sitting still, so in my free time you can catch me in a pilates class, chasing around my two young children, or taking on a new hobby project.

I am looking forward to sharing a cup of coffee and chatting on the couch with you!

Sincerely,

Our Story

The Foundry was created in 2026 with one simple intention: to make therapy feel less intimidating and more personable.

I know how hard it can be to walk through the doors of a counseling office. For many people, even making the appointment takes courage. The Foundry is meant to soften that first step—to feel warm, approachable, and welcoming from the moment you arrive.

While the work we do here can be deep and meaningful, the experience itself is designed to feel supportive, comfortable, and even enjoyable. Therapy at The Foundry is meant to feel like an act of self-care—something you look forward to, not something you dread.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to be here. You just have to walk through the door.

More info

  • I serve any and all individuals, ages 13 and up! The Foundry is LGBTQIA+ friendly, and accessible for folks with physical limitations.

I have experience in working with anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, women’s health (including perinatal mental health), trauma and PTSD, grief, anger management, stress, sports performance, perfectionism, codependency, domestic abuse, and others.

  • I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. As I get to learn about you a little bit more, I then will integrate other approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Person Centered, Gestalt, or Adlerian. Each person is looking for something slightly different in therapy, and I am here to help alongside your experience of self-discovery.

  • Currently I am only accepting private pay. However, I am in the process of credentialing with most major insurance providers, and should expect coverage soon. Please inquire about your specific insurance coverage and I can help answer any questions!
